We’ve all felt it: that sudden rush of anger, frustration, or aggression. But what really happens in our brains when we get upset? And how does it affect our behavior and the people around us? Join Prof. Dr. Ute Habel (RWTH Aachen) as she unravels the neuropsychological roots of these emotions. From brain activation and hormonal responses to environmental influences, discover how anger shapes our minds and actions. Prof. Dr. Ute Habel is a leading expert in social-emotional neuroscience. Her research explores how emotions like anger, empathy, and social interaction emerge in the brain and influence our behavior. This lecture is perfect for anyone curious about how emotions steer our behavior – and what that means for our health, relationships, and society. Stick around afterward for drinks and conversation in the OecherLab foyer! When? March 12th, 2026, 5.30-7pm Free admission – no registration needed. |

The Month That Can’t Decide!
March is like that one friend who can’t make up their mind: sometimes cold, sometimes warm, sometimes sunny, sometimes raining. But hey, that’s what gives us great excuses for unpredictable moods! So if the weather feels confused and yourself too, just blame Mars, the Roman god of war, after which this month was named. Lot's of positive vibes from Dominika Lichteveld, Ilayda Özkan and Baran Peltek from the BeBuddy Team! |
