2. RWTH Explained Simply: a practical introduction to RWTH for latecomers and confused students

Missed the Welcome Week or Freshers’ Week? Still waiting for your visa and haven’t arrived in Aachen yet? Or are you already here but still unsure about the basics of studying at RWTH?

RWTH Explained Simply is for new international degree students who want to get up to speed with the most important information and tools for their studies. With your Peer Success Coaches, you’ll cover RWTHonline, Moodle, course registration and creating your class schedule, with plenty of opportunity to ask your individual questions. Join this student event in person on October 29 at 15:00 or online on November 5 at 14:00 (register here).

3. Studentischer Besuchsdienst (StuBdi) bridges the gap between young and old

We proudly present: Studentischer Besuchsdienst! StuBdi, for short, is a wonderful student association which volunteers at retirement homes in Aachen and is offering various activities where you can get involved!

4. AIESEC Aachen is recruiting new members

Looking to gain leadership experience, develop practical skills, and join an international community? AIESEC in Aachen is a student organization offering international internships and volunteering programs for students and graduates in Aachen. The team is currently recruiting new members! 5. The New And Improved Certificate International: Collect International Engagement Points!

The Certificate International at RWTH Aachen University has been redesigned to make the program more transparent and user-friendly for students.

6. Repair Café & Clothing and Plant Swap on October 24th

Swap sustainably instead of buying new! Visit our free clothing and plant swap and discover new favorites or give well-preserved items a second life.  For the clothing swap, you can bring up to five washed and well-preserved items of clothing and choose something else in return. Please do not bring underwear, nightwear, or shoes. Plants and cuttings are also very welcome. Bringing your own items is not required: Especially after 1 pm, during our Happy Hour, you can also come and browse without any items of your own.  

And to make it even better: There will also be a Repair Café! At the Repair Café, we help fix minor defects in everyday items or carry out simple sewing repairs. Repairs to books are also possible.

October Has Entered the Chat

October is here – which means the winter semester is about to start. New courses, new classmates, new timetables… and approximately 47 tabs open in your browser by the end of week one.

But October isn’t just about university. It’s also the month of pumpkins, halloween, colourful leaves, the first Printen appearing on supermarket shelves and increasingly questionable weather. Basically: we have some final warm days, winter is already loading, and we’re somewhere in between with a coffee in hand.
