Help others improve their German

Your German skills are well-advanced and you would like to support other learners? You still remember that communicating in German can be demanding, but you have learned that practice does the trick? Then you might consider volunteering for a project hosted by Sprachenakademie Aachen, a language school focused on German. Some of the students taking courses with Sprachenakademie use their German quite frequently in their everyday life.

Others do not have the chance to speak much German beyond class. For those who would like to improve their speaking skills and look for occasions, Sprachenakademie has started a series of free conversation events: students from several courses come there to mingle with native speakers and advanced learners to talk to each other in a welcoming atmosphere. The volunteers who lead the conversation meetings will of course be trained and supervised by the Sprachenakademie team.

Welcome Week Winter Term 2024/2025: Volunteers wanted!

The Welcome Week for new international students will be taking place this year from 23 September 2024 to 27 September 2024 and we need your assistance! If you would like to help us with various tasks during our on-site events, experience the international atmosphere of RWTH and meet new fellow students, register as Welcome Week Volunteer at welcomeweek@rwth-aachen.de by 1 August 2024.

Volunteering for at least five hours during the Welcome Week on-site events can get recognized as a component of the Certificate International.

Students from various IITs in India are coming to RWTH Aachen to complete their Master's theses. The International Office has organized a well-rounded program, but we need your help! Become a buddy and assist these students with moving in, shopping, exploring the city and campus, and finding their institute. Engage in leisure activities and help them feel at home in Aachen. The International Office is looking for new tutors - Summer School Support

The Indo-German Centre for Sustainability (IGCS) is planning their upcoming Summer School: “Regenerative Urban Futures – Circular Economies and Societies” from 22.07.2024 – 02.08.2024 at RWTH Aachen University. This two-week programme brings togethers students and researchers from India and Germany to build collective awareness on the challenges we face as rising urban populations and the environmental effect.
