BMFTR: Start of the "Transferinitiative" F.A.S.T.
The F.A.S.T. funding programme has a modular, phased structure designed to allow for flexible adaptation to new developments. Funding for the transfer hubs is divided into a ‘concept phase’ and an ‘implementation phase’. Funding is provided for the strategic development, establishment and implementation of, initially, around six topic-specific transfer hubs operating nationwide within the HTAD key technologies.
If you are interested in applying, please submit the draft proposal, including all attachments, to the Abteilung Drittmittelmanagement-Team Bund for internal review by 24 August 2026 at the latest (applies to Faculties 1–9).

BMFTR: Funding for projects on the theme of ‘Robots4CleanTech – Intelligent Robotics for Environmental Technology’
Funding is available for R&D projects that bring together expertise from the fields of environmental technology, robotics and AI. This encompasses both industrial and mobile robotics solutions, including the necessary hardware and software components, such as sensors, actuators, data infrastructures and system architectures.
The application process consists of two stages. The deadline for submitting project outlines is 15 September 2026.
If you are interested in applying, please submit the draft proposal, including all attachments, to the Abteilung Drittmittelmanagement-Team Bund for internal review by 8 September 2026 at the latest (applies to Faculties 1–9).

|
Daimler and Benz Foundation: 2027 Scholarship program for the promotion of postdocs and junior professors
The Foundation's program aims to strengthen the autonomy of early‑career researchers and support post‑doctoral scholars who have achieved research independence but have not yet secured a permanent position. It is open to candidates from all fields; humanities, social and cultural sciences, natural and engineering sciences, medicine, and life sciences; and places no restrictions on research topics.
Each fellowship provides € 50,000 for two years. Recipients may spend the money on research trips, conference participation or organization, temporary research assistants, computers, lab equipment, and special chemicals – but not on personal living expenses. Applications may be submitted by 30 September 2026 here.
