RWTH Young Academics Day
On Friday, September 4, 2026, the RWTH Young Academics Day will take place at SuperC. Here you can learn about professional development and the support programs offered by RWTH Aachen University.
The University Library will also be there – offering insights into the topic of Open Access, among other things. Anyone who wants to test their knowledge of Open Access publishing while learning something new in a fun way can do so with an Open Access game.
In addition, the Research Data Management (RDM) team will be on site to provide information about services and support in the area of research data.
The team from the Patent and Standards Center (PNZ) will also be on site, providing information on research and consulting services related to patents, trademarks, and other options for protecting intellectual property.

New Scanners Available
Two new Zeutschel scanners are now available at the University Library. In addition to saving files to a USB flash drive, the devices also allow you to transfer scans to your smartphone. To do so, simply connect to the Zeutschel Wi-Fi network and follow the instructions that appear on the screen. A short user guide is posted right next to the devices to help you get started.
You can find the new scanners at two locations in the Main Library: in the study area on the second floor in the back room, and in the reading room for sensitive materials directly behind the circulation desk in the foyer which is open until 7pm on weekdays.
